TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

MOUNTING

Kropal products are mounted on a dry, flat and clean surface. Sticking is done with silicone, montage putty or with flexible building glue. Water based glues are not advisable because
the material is hydrophobic.
Mounting of wall linings is done in two ways: by simple gluing or gluing with dry fixing.

Sticking of vertical wall linings is performed in the following ways:

1. determine in advance the position and measures of the panels
2. apply the chosen glue over the wall and panel and press them together
3. it is necessary to leave joints of 3 to 5 mm free as they will be filled with the point up mass
4. it is advisable to use a decorative covering lath ( instead of joints ) which will additionally secure the wall lining when being fixed into the wall

Gluing the horizontal linings with dry fixing  ( «wall without joints» ):

1. determine in advance the position and dimensions of the panel
2. the panel is fixed to the wall with an aluminium L profile. L profile should be fixed horizontally to the required hights
3. the wall and a panel should be smeared with chosen glue and pressed together.

MAINTENANCE

Kropal products which have not been varnished in the final treatment can be treated with all the cleaning and maintaining agents applicable in the households. On occassion of damage
( i.e. surface scratches ) the products can be repaired on the base of « do it yourself «. The damaged surface is treated with a water abrasive paper in granulation of 1500-2000. After the treatment it is necessary to wash the surface with clean water and dry it afterwards.
The products which have been treated with shinny glaze ( tables, panels for washing basins ) are cleaned with a wet soft cloth and mild cleaning detergents. After that the surface should be dried.

CUTTING

All the Kropal products are delivered according to the measures ordered. If there is a need for additional cutting this can be done with a diamond cutting saw.

APPLICABILITY

Kropal products made of artificial stone are used in all the parts of household:  as work kitchen panels, wall linings in the kitchen between the upper and lower elements – « wall without joints «, floor linings in all the areas of household – the material acquires the warmth of the room, window panes, bars, stepping floors for internal and external stairways, balcony fences, column « caps «, decorative frames, small decorative symbols for the house fronts, etc.
